FWA~ here I come!!

Sorry I haven’t posted recently. I’ve been quite busy around here getting ready for back-to-back conventions starting this weekend. It’s probably insane attempting such a feat, and working my regular job in-between, but sanity is a bit overrated.  It’ll be a trip in any case~ Megacon is next weekend, March 25-27 in Orlando, Fl.

I did manage to get the online shop updated, below are just a few of the new creatures needing good homes and lots of love:

A chilly dip into CSS…

So today I explored the world of child themes….which is a bit confusing for this newbie css coder. So this is now my basic child theme. Right now it only has modifications on font and link colors. I’ve added a few new widgets for etsy and deviantart which will hopefully work once I get some things uploaded to those sites.

I’ve also decided to stick with the two column style instead of the three column one. Simply because I didn’t find any three column styles that I really liked. And this theme is easy to read and simple which is exactly what I need. I make enough other things complicated. ^_^;;;

And I’m not planning on doing too much altering at the moment to the look of the blog. I figure that will come with time. Hopefully, I’ll get some more work done tomorrow maybe work up a store page and see if I can’t get a link to my future deviantart gallery as well.

I think I’ll also be writing up a to do and wish list tomorrow too.

Just starting…

Well, I’m working on the blog. Trying to make it look at least decent. It’s a bit standard now, but at least it’s working.

I had a major issue only 15 minutes ago where none of the pages were showing up correctly. They were all pointing towards my splash page instead of the WP page I’d created.  I searched for an hour at least on the WP support forum, but couldn’t find any posts describing this issue exactly(though I did find some other interesting things to know).  So finally I just started fussing with things and low and behold a few words in the right box fixed it. Funny how coding works.  ^_^;;; I’m smiling now, but my head still hurts. I quietly curse permalinks.

Anyways. I got a few pages up right now just Home, About, and Events. But they are visible! Woot! And Events actually has my events listed! Shock of shocks!

Still trying to decide what widgets I want where and I’m thinking about going into the world of Child themes with WP which is the only way to save mods after updates it seems.  Wish me luck on this new coding adventure.

Time for bed. Even mice need sleep.
